It is a strange sensation to feel the inside of your skin. I am told by the therapist that this cryotherapy facial treatment outshines botox, minimises pore size and lightens the complexion.

This treatment is only available at Bioskinspa Doha. If there was an award ceremony underway, I would most certainly pass as a golden statue glimmering amid the paparazzi flashes right about now.

As we complete this luxurious affair, I glimpse in the mirror and notice that my skin already appears younger and smoother and feels plump and energised from the inside.

My opulent beauty journey continues with a therapist named Nancy transporting me to the next treatment room. It is time to let my hair down. Blonde hair in the Middle East is the most difficult to maintain. The tap water, sun and dust destroy the ends and challenge the roots, combatting optimal growth. Hopefully, my less than luxurious locks will be saved with this Keratin Silk Infusion treatment.

They start by steaming my tresses, optimising vitamin absorption into the follicles and scalp. They cool the skin with cold steam and apply a machine with red and green lights. The red stimulates blood circulation, while the green promotes hair growth. This experience is focused purely on rejuvenating and treating your hair, while using microelements to generate mist and warming it in accordance with the scalp and hair type. After all the different hot and cold applications and light therapy, the final result is instant. My hair is soft and glowing from root to tip and restored to a glossy and bouncy state. I am sold! For the grand finale, my entire body is about to be transformed by a brand-new machine that only recently arrived in the country. The magic behind this technology is the three-inone science promoting the natural formation of nutrients, improving the tone and enhancing the aesthetic appearance of the skin from the neck down to the feet. Cue, the weird space suit! If no one had briefed me on the benefits of this treatment and just showed me this otherworldly outfit, I would have been in there already.

With a combination of micro-electric shocks to the muscles and firm waves of pressure and heat throughout the bodysuit, the objective of this treatment is to break down stubborn fat that will pass through your sweat and urine within a few hours. Total time in the suit is 20 minutes and the intensity is increased in increments. Benefits include improving lymphatic drainage, toxin removal, reduction in cellulite and varicose veins, and total skin toning. It’s an overall uncomfortable 20 minutes, but completely worth it.
