Qatar welcomes the all-new Eclipse Cross from Mitsubishi Motors.

The Drive

The new generation Eclipse Cross is highly engineered to give you the ultimate driving experience. A direct injection turbo engine offers agile handling and a full-time four-wheel drive system offers superior stability and cornering. The advanced drive system controls the driving and braking force to each wheel. The result is more focused drive power, better cornering and better stability in all driving conditions. This integrated system works through a combination of Active Yaw Control (AYC), Active Stability Control (ASC) and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

Exterior

Why follow the herd? Go for bold lines and deeply sculpted looks. The striking wedge-shape of the new Eclipse Cross gives it a crouching feel, like an athlete ready to leap out of the blocks. The muscular front face incorporates the Dynamic Shield, which not only adds to the distinctive look, but is also more protective for pedestrians and occupants alike. The sloping bonnet draws the eye to the narrow LED daytime running lights (DRL), which give the car a characteristic look, and beneath you’ll find the sculpted headlamp cluster which houses both the LED headlamps and LED foglamps. From the rear, the Eclipse Cross has an almost hexagonal shape which creates a sleeker, coupe SUV profile and gives the new model its robust, sophisticated looks. Adding a distinctive finish to the exterior, the 18-inch alloys create a strong design ethic and add a distinctive touch. And the power panoramic sunroof makes the car feel lighter. The new model is available in a range of dynamic colours, including the new four-layer White Diamond.

Interior

The Eclipse Cross controls have been created using a horizontal axis concept, so the dashboard has everything within easy reach. The body-hugging driver’s seat ensures support and comfort. Contoured sides hold you at the shoulders and thighs and the padded centre offers greater lumbar support. To add a personal touch to the cabin, you can opt for leather trim. There’s enough room in the Eclipse Cross for five adults. The rear seats also have a nine-step reclining feature, so you can set the seat to your preferred position for a really comfortable journey. You can also slide the rear seats back for even more legroom. And, at 331 litres, the luggage area is 10% bigger than previous Eclipse Cross models. To further enhance the cabin, Mitsubishi has added LED lighting on the front door trim and handle and used thick soundabsorbing material throughout.
