The Qatar Athletics Federation (QAF) has announced a six-member team for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Three-time Olympic medallist Mutaz Essa Barshim, who won the men’s high jump gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after having earlier picked up silver medals in London in 2012 and Rio in 2016, headlines the list.

He will be joined on the plane to Paris by 800m runner Aboubakar Haydar Abdallah and the trio of Abdalrahman Samba, Bassem Hameeda and Ismail Dawoud who will run in the 400m race.

Sprinter Shahad Mohammed, who will make her Olympics debut, will compete in the 100m race.
