Ramadan on the Water

In celebration of the Holy Month, Corinthia Yacht Club has announced a specially curated set menu Iftar alongside a delicious à la carte Suhour and a magical Suhour Night Tea.

The Iftar features a selection of renowned Arabic dishes and desserts, from the traditional fattoush to deliciously grilled meats and a selection of pastas and rice, ending on a sweet note with desserts such as kunafa and baklava. Additionally, guests can enjoy their Ramadan nights with a Suhour à la carte menu, available for non-members, enabling them to create their own pre-dawn meal.

Or indulge in a Suhour Night Tea with Arabic touches that promise an exquisite journey of flavours, featuring aesthetic cakes, a selection of Arabic sweets and impeccable service. In addition to the delectable teas available, there will also be a sparkling option.

British Chef Bijendra Yadav, who has a rich background in crafting high tea experiences at renowned London establishments such as The Savoy and The Park Lane Hotel, brings unparalleled expertise to Corinthia Yacht Club.

He says: ‘I am thrilled to contribute to Corinthia Yacht Club’s Ramadan options. From the Iftar set menu to the Suhour à la carte menu and Suhour Night Tea, each showcases traditional Arabic flavours with its own unique twist. The á la carte and Iftar menus feature classic Arabic dishes, while the Suhour Night Tea offers a delightful fusion, blending British tradition with reverence for Ramadan, where guests can expect delicate sandwiches, indulgent pastries and renowned Arabic flavours. Each dish has been crafted to deliver a truly exceptional experience and I’m honoured to be part of it.”

The Suhour Night Tea menu showcases meticulous preparation, from sandwiches featuring Scottish smoked salmon on rye to turkey ham on fennel bread. The baking precision extends to traditional plain and raisin scones. Embracing British tradition with a touch of innovation, the patisserie items include an indulgent Salted Caramel Snickers, Pistachio Éclair as well as kunafe, reflecting a commitment to flavour and excellence.

The Suhour Night Tea is available daily to non-members at the Lobby Lounge, from 9pm to 2am, priced QR210 per stand for two. The Iftar set menu costs QR250 per person and Suhour is available in the Lobby Lounge from 8pm to 2am.
