After long days of fasting and reflection, we can’t think of a better place to experience the warmth of this special time than at Mandarin Oriental, Doha where there’s a plethora of options to help you and your loved ones make memories and create new Ramadan traditions. Whether you’re looking to extend your gathering with an overnight stay; enjoy a special Iftar buffet at Mosaic and storytelling sessions for the little ones; partake of a uniquely curated outdoor dining experience at Baraha Square; or impress guests with a fabulous spread in the comfort of your own home, Mandarin Oriental, Doha caters for every desire and we’ll certainly be taking advantage this April.

Ramadan Togetherness

The Holy Month is a special time for connecting with friends and family and you can celebrate Ramadan surrounded by loved ones at Mosaic. The Iftar buffet runs from sunset to 9pm and includes a variety of live stations offering mezzes, flavoursome grills, traditional feasts and exquisite desserts complemented by speciality dishes inspired by the flavours of the ancient Silk Route. The Iftar Buffet is priced at QR240 per person; children aged seven to 11 years pay QR120 and little ones under six go free when dining with their parents at Mosaic. Special Welcome for Kids

There’s another great opportunity to create a Ramadan tradition with the return of Mandarin Oriental’s much-loved storytelling sessions as well as an indoor cinema and a fun entrainment room with activities. The storytelling adventures will transport families and little ones to an enchanted forest filled with the animal characters of Papinee, such as Vani the monkey from the jungles of Mexico and Strix the owl from the bustling city of London. The storytelling sessions run daily from 7pm to 7.30pm and are free for guests and families dining at Mosaic. Other children’s activities and entertainment options take place from 7pm to 9pm.

Open Air at Baraha Square

Ramadan To Go

Now, much as we would love to spend every night of Ramadan either tucking in at one of Mandarin Oriental’s buffets or the hotel’s many restaurants or, better yet, tucked up in one of their gorgeous rooms, like many of you, we will also be hosting friends at home during the Holy Month. So, we’re very glad they’ve got us covered with fabulous feasts to go. Perfect for sharing, the wonderful array of Ramadan classics includes a variety of mezze, mixed grills, traditional chicken biryani, assorted mahashi, baked seabass with harra sauce and more. The Ramadan Set Menu is priced QR800, for four people, and QR950, for eight and orders can be placed online at doha.mandarinorientalshop.com and picked up from The Mandarin Cake Shop from 2pm to 2am. And, speaking of the cake shop, don’t miss out on the Ramadan Cake designed exclusively for the Holy Month as part of The Heritage Collection, we promise you won’t regret it. ✤
