PORTABLE JOY

Audio-Technica has announced that the limited-edition fan-favourite Sound Burger portable turntable has now joined its regular line-up.

Originally released 40 years ago, the Sound Burger has been a cult classic thanks to its stylish design and unique listening experience. Commemorating Audio-Technica’s 60th anniversary in 2022, a limited-edition Sound Burger (AT-SB2022) was released and sold out worldwide in just a few days.

In response to the overwhelming demand, the model has now been added to the company’s regular catalogue.

The new AT-SB727 retro turntable features modern upgrades such as Bluetooth connectivity. Users can wirelessly listen to their favourite vinyl records all day thanks to the 12-hour battery life, and recharge with the up-to-date USB-C charging cable.

Listeners can also enjoy a nostalgic, wired listening experience with the included audio cable.

Ideal for parties, picnics and small living spaces, the lightweight device is designed for both portability and stability, with a tonearm that employs a dynamic balance system in which stylus pressure is applied via a spring.

Additionally, a high-precision DC (direct current) motor ensures a stable rotation is maintained when used.

Equipped with a belt drive system that plays both 33-1/3 and 45RPM records, this unique turntable offers high-quality sound reproduction.

The Sound Burger also features a die-cast aluminium alloy platter with damping design and a replaceable ATN3600L stylus.

The AT-SB727 is an entry-level turntable that gives users a nostalgic experience and is also a doorway to the wonders of analogue music. ✤
