As a part of Qatar- India Year Of Culture 2019, Radio ONE FM is conducting Indoor Cricket league during the festive month of Ramadan. It is under the valued support of Ministry of Culture & Sports, Qatar Museums and Qatar Foundation.

The tournament will commence from 10th May at Lusail Indoor Arena till 24th May 2019 with a grand opening ceremony on 10th May 2019 where a brief history on the game of cricket will be explained with some training and tips for the audience attending.

The Lusail Indoor Arena happens to be the biggest indoor arena in the region and has a reputation of hosting the most spectacular events in the near Past.

This event won’t just serve the sports lover but will also take care of the Ramadan treat! This festive fair will be set up with food courts and cricket games for kids making it an evening for families.

The Event will be having 12 teams which will be divided in 4 pools. The teams in

each pool will play on a straight league basis. The top 2 teams from each pool will qualify to play in the Quarter Finals. This is a 7 side indoor tournament played with a taped soft tennis balls. All the matches until the finals will be of 6 overs a side.

The tournament will witness teams from organizations like Ministry of Culture and sports, Qatar foundation, Qatar Museums, Qatar Financial Centre.

As a Media Platform, ONE FM has always tried to reach the maximum people with different entertainment options like musical concerts, comedy shows etc and this time ONE FM has something for sports lovers. This will be an attempt of Introducing the young culture of Indoor cricket in Qatar with a goal of organizing more such events in the near future. The Tournament looks promising as this new concept during the month of Ramadan will be a treat and encouragement for the audience.
