Banana Island Resort Doha re-opens Riva restaurant with a brand-new concept

Banana Island Resort Doha, the leading destination for luxury in Qatar, re-opened its Riva restaurant with a brand-new look and menu, welcoming the lovers of the Mediterranean food to satisfy their taste buds, thereby adding a new concept to the distinctive dining experiences that the resort has always been famous for.

With this re-opening, guests will be able to enjoy, in an exceptional atmosphere, the most innovative dishes from the Mediterranean region, prepared by Riva’s Chef De Cuisine Julio Sanz, with his vast experience and expertise. The restaurant’s indoor dining area is characterized by a refreshing modern décor, while the lavish outdoor garden is the perfect place to appreciate the stunning view of the sea, the overwater villas, and the nearby luxurious marina of the resort called “Pier 51”. Guests can park their private boats or yachts at the marina and leisurely walk their way to Riva, which is the very first restaurant you will find from the jetty.

On this occasion, Chef Julio Sanz, said: “Our whole team worked hard to come up with a unique and exclusive menu that includes a variety of dishes and famous flavors from different parts of the Mediterranean area. In a related context, Riva recently hosted an event in celebration of International Women’s Day, partnering with “Women In Qatar”, a non-profit community organization. With the relevant theme of #BreakTheBias, the successful afternoon affair was attended by more than 90 female guests and participants of different nationalities, along with a group of powerful women panelists, namely: Ms. Muna Al-Bader, Dr. Nawal Al-Alem, Ms. Amal Arab and Ms. Abla Sebak, who generously shared their life experiences in breaking the bias in their chosen professions.
