The much-anticipated Fact Dining Awards Qatar 2023 made a triumphant return with outstanding entertainment, great food and drinks and, of course, our colleagues and friends from the food and beverage and hospitality sectors all buzzing and ready to celebrate the cream of the industry.
With the help of our generous partners: Lucia’s, Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel; Alfardan Sports Motors, Maserati; Red Bull; Candela Entertainment and Modishlust; Plaza Hollandi; Firma Events; Candeel, Phool, Perfume Factory, Kasibeyaz and Golden Gazelle, the FACT Qatar team spent months putting together a fabulous red-carpet ceremony at which we handed over awards to our delighted winners – the best of the best (and favourite) of Qatar’s unique dining scene.
Each category generated two winners – the Favourites, picked by online public vote, and the Best, decided by a panel of industry experts and anonymous judges.
This year there were 104 winners, across 52 categories, 10 more than last year, ranging from steakhouse and seafood to regional cuisines and lounges, as well as the Overall Favourite Restaurant, taken once again by Moritmoto at Mondrian, Doha, and Overall Best Restaurant, won by La Mar Doha – InterContinental Doha Beach & Spa.
There were more than 590 entries and almost 68,800 unique online votes cast by the public, with winners receiving the coveted Fact Dining Awards Doha 2023 plaques.
FACT Magazine Qatar publishing director, Chirine Halabi, said: “It is always amazing to get together with all our friends and partners from across the industry, especially in a year when we have so many fantastic new names on the dining scene. Our Fact Dining Awards is one of the biggest events in the industry’s calendar in Qatar and for myself and the team, it is quite emotional to see such a great turnout.
