Upscale Levantine restaurant opens at Hilton The Pearl to coincide with Ramadan

Lebanese cuisine with a twist delivers soulful Ramadan culinary experience Iftar and Suhoor served daily with weekly changing menus

The upscale, casual and authentic Levantine restaurant opened at Hilton Doha the Pearl Hotel & Residences, and will be the contemporary home of soulful Levant cuisine in Qatar.

The opening, on the first day of Ramadan, is particularly apt for a restaurant where sharing is an everyday culture and where a spacious terrace provides for a superb open-air gathering experience. Levantine will serve daily evening Iftar and Suhoor and menus will be changed on a weekly basis to ensure variety for returning guests.

Iftar guests will enjoy a wide variety of traditional Ramadan favourites from lentil soup with condiments to cold mezze and salad, hot mezze, and a live cooking station choice of a whole lamb ouzi – the ultimate in Ramadan sharing cuisine – or meat, fish, and vegetable grill selections. The dessert choices are extensive and tempting with a particular Ramadan feel and include the ever popular Umm Ali, favourites from the Levant as well as international selections and can be rounded off with fruits, dates, and nuts. All Ramadan juices, laban, and water are included.

Suhoor fare begins with dates, fruit, laban, and Qamar al-Din before moving on to cold mezze and salad, a choice of cold cuts, a cheese platter with distinctively Levantine favourites, halawa, hand-crafted bread and pastries, yoghurts, popular hot Levantine breakfast-style dishes and a range of desserts.

Levantine’s distinctive menu is a result of collaboration between the hotel’s own expert culinary team and Lebanese celebrity chef Joe Barza. Guests can eat indoors or outdoors amid the fragrant aromas of live, theatre-style cooking of Levantine favourites including flash-charcoal-grilled spiced meats, seafood, fish and vegetables, spit-roasted lamb and chicken, and fresh bread baking.

The upscale Levantine lifestyle is also reflected with the terrace service where Moroccan tea served, pays tribute to Maghreb traditions.
