Three-Door Icon Makes Middle East Debut

The 2024 MINI Cooper 3-Door S was launched at a spectacular event in Doha by Alfardan Automobiles, the official importer of BMW Group vehicles for Qatar.

The MINI Cooper 3-Door S is one of the trims in the new series and this latest iteration of the beloved MINI marries the brand’s iconic design language with cutting-edge technology.

The car’s Qatar launch makes it the first time this particular trim is available anywhere in the Middle East.

The original MINI was a line of small cars manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC), launched in 1959 and marketed as the Austin Seven and Morris Mini-Minor.

Ten years later, in 1969, MINI became a brand in its own right under the new ownership of British Leyland.

Since 2000, MINI has been owned by BMW, the German multinational automotive company.

And at the glittering launch of the new MINI Cooper 3-Door S in Doha, a classic MINI 3-Door also had a prominent display, presenting a tangible link between the brand’s storied past and its innovative present.

The showcase offered a unique opportunity to explore the significant milestones in the MINI brand’s development over the years, highlighting the design, technology and performance leaps that led to the latest model.

The MINI Cooper 3-Door S has a performance-enhanced 2-litre TwinPower turbo four-cylinder engine, delivering 204hp. This power is mated to a finely tuned suspension and damping system designed for nimble handling, propelling the car from 0 to 100km/h in just 6.6 seconds.

Inside, the cockpit dazzles with high-quality equipment details, black-blue surfaces made of two-tone knitted material and Vescin (synthetic leather made from recycled materials) seats adorned with a perforated houndstooth pattern, blue accent stitching, and patterned fabric inserts.

The 2024 MINI Cooper 3-Door S has a standout new front grille, modernised lights, and a sleek OLED screen. The vehicle’s silhouette retains the unmistakeable MINI charm, with tight overhangs, a short bonnet, and a wheelbase that promises agility and stability in equal measure.

The innovation is evident in the MINI Cooper 3-Door’s future-oriented technologies.

Connected Drive and the MINI App seamlessly integrate your digital life with the driving experience – letting you stay connected on the go or access real-time vehicle data – offering convenience and personalised connectivity.

With three trim levels — Classic, Favoured, and JCW — the MINI Cooper 3-Door S offers an extensive range of customisation options. Whether it is body paint finishes, interior trims, or wheel sizes from 16 to 18 inches, every detail can be tailored to suit individual preferences.

The safety and comfort factors are enhanced by driver assistance systems such as the Safe Exit function, Active Cruise Control, and the standard Parking Assistant. The brand’s first full-fledged voice assistant simplifies the operation of the MINI Interaction Unit, which is the first round OLED display in the automotive industry with a refreshing user interface design.
