Alfardan Hospitality and LaLiga’s presidents, both with Michelin-starred chef have expressed their satisfaction with the success of the recently launched hospitality sports concept.

The LaLiga TwentyNine’s Doha sports hub has now been open for two weeks, following its inauguration on November 22, and, to celebrate this, Omar Hussain Alfardan, the president and CEO of Alfardan Group, Javier Tebas, the president of LaLiga, and Dani García, Spanish international chef with three Michelin stars to his name, met together. Since its opening, hundreds of people have visited this two-storey space that is located in Kempinski Residences and Suites, in the heart of the Qatari capital. The success of the venue, which has continually attracted both tourists and locals during these past two weeks, has marked a before and after for Doha’s sporting and dining venues.

LaLiga, Alfardan Hospitality and Dani García Group are working together as the driving force behind this sports hub, the first of its kind to open its doors outside of Spain, following the launch of the LaLiga TwentyNine’s venues in Tarragona and in Madrid. Together, they have managed to create an interactive leisure and entertainment restaurant, where sports fans can enjoy unique experiences while savouring a Michelin-starred cuisine. Each of the partners expressed their satisfaction during an event held there in the presence of LaLiga’s clubs and Alfardan key officials , at which various national and international sports topics were discussed.

In the view of LaLiga president Javier Tebas: “LaLiga TwentyNine’s is a key project for us and this has been the first experience of it outside of Spain. This is why it has been so important for us to count on the support and vision of Alfardan Hospitality, with whom excellence and best practice are always guaranteed. With the involvement of chef Dani García, the result is a unique venue to enjoy great experiences surrounded by the best of sport and gastronomy.”

Meanwhile, Omar Hussain Alfardan, the president and CEO of Alfardan Group, stated: “The collaboration between Alfardan Hospitality, LaLiga and Dani Garcia Group has proven to be a winning partnership. LaLiga TwentyNine’s launched at an opportune time in correlation with the most coveted sports event in the world, marking a turning point in the sports and leisure sector in Qatar. We look forward to growing the brand together in the region and beyond.”

Chef Dani García, who has put together the venue’s kitchen, is also very excited about the project and said: “The success of this space lies in the fact that it is unique. We have been able to craft the perfect atmosphere so that football fans can enjoy the best sport in the world while tasting Spanish cuisine, which is one of the best in the world.”

With the recent football tournament having turned Qatar into the sporting capital of the globe, this has contributed to the success of LaLiga TwentyNine’s. Even once the tournament is over, this sports hub will remain open to offer both visitors and locals the best gastronomy and a space to enjoy the best local and international sporting competitions.
