Olive oil, cheese, paella, and seafood delicacies: for two weeks this October, Doha gets its first full-on Spanish food festival, and you’re invited.

Clear your diary, food lovers. From October 1 to 15, Doha will host the first-ever Middle East edition of Eat Spain Drink Spain, a culinary campaign that has already thrilled the UK, Germany, US and Singapore. Now it’s our turn to dive into the flavours that make Spain one of the world’s great dining destinations. We’re talking olive oil straight from Andalucía, melt-in-the-mouth Manchego cheese with Protected Designation of Origin, bomba rice for the perfect Valencian paella and seafood preserves from the Cantabrian coast.

Enjoy a daily set Spanish menu at Asador de Aranda in AlHazm Mall, discover Spanish specialities at both QDeli and Mila restaurant in the Rosewood Doha, or indulge in a Spanish buffet each evening at IKA South American, Aleph Doha Residences.

The celebration stretches into retail too, with promotions at Carrefour City Center Doha, Lulu Hypermarket, The Pearl, and a dedicated Spanish menu at Monoprix Place Vendôme.

As H.E. Dr. Álvaro Renedo Zalba, Ambassador of Spain to Qatar, emphasised: “Spanish gastronomy is among the finest in the world… and a key component of our soft power. I have no doubt that over 90 million people that visit us each year do so with the enticing prospective of savouring Spanish cuisine.”

Hungry? You will be. Eat Spain Drink Spain is here to give Doha a front-row seat to the country’s finest flavours, at least for two delicious weeks. ✤
