The luxury island prides itself in pioneering some of the most innovative beauty and wellness treatments in the world such as the Cloud 9 relaxation facility that relaxes the mind. Created by Viennese Artist and Perception Researcher Sha and the only one in the Maldives, Cloud 9 by Sha is a composed relaxation swinging pod that uses a combination of colour, light, projection and motion to create a regenerative effect on the nervous system and support the deep relaxation effect. The spa also offers some of the most ancient healing modalities including yoga, meditation and a range of traditional Ayurvedic therapies including Abhyanga & Shirodhara and Podikizh.

Nutrition at Velaa Private Island holds the same importance as mind, body and fitness. The professionals at Velaa understand that optimum health cannot be achieved if the meals are not balanced and fresh to complement the physical treatments and fitness workouts. The restaurants’ menu includes healthy food options, nutrition advice will be provided by a professional and specialised energising programme with personalised menus will also be available upon prior request.

The Velaa Spa Line includes the Ayurvedic line, which is bottled in-house and extends to massage oils, room fragrances in the shape of aroma reeds and room sprays. The inspiration for the fragrances is taken from the flora and fauna of Velaa. Velaa Private Island will be the only resort in the Maldives offering KOTOSHINA, an organic skin care brand from Kyoto, Japan made from organically farmed green tea and pure spring water from France.

From anti-aging, lifting, purifying or restructuring facials, to slimming treatments, hydrating or antioxidant body scrubs and wraps, your trained and accredited therapists will be able to advise and choose the treatments that fit your needs following a detailed skin diagnostic, and depending on your skin condition.
