Stronger Together

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.
– Helen Keller

Times are tough, but we’re stronger than that. I realise how everything is on hold and how our lives have been put on halt so abruptly – but I am so grateful for this time. Where we all – or some of us at least – are bored out of our minds, we have also been reconnecting with everything and everyone. I realise now, more than ever, that I do NOT need to be a child with a three-month summer break any more. I LOVE my media and blogging family in Qatar and I have missed seeing them everyday.

I realised how makeup is my lifeline as I miss experimenting with shades and most of all, I am so grateful for having a musical family. So as the husband and toddler strum on the guitars next to me, I am finally at peace as I realise I am up to date with all my shows and here’s the thing… I AM DYING TO GET BACK TO REGULAR WORK!

That’s the thing with getting this break – we are aware of every single thing now. FACT however, has still been on that WFH (work from home) life and quarantining around town. We stayed in hotels and had dinners and lunches delivered at home, which you can find throughout this special issue. We had my blogging family come up with exceptional tips as Fatima Dhai offers up a list of things to do during this time, and Dionne Lobo lets us know about all the delivery apps we need to go to, – yeah, life is good as long as you have FOOD. Wouldn’t you agree?

So here I am, contemplating my love between Rumi’s Red book and Enid Blyton’s Magic faraway tree – two favourites that I have not been able to read for a long time now! I am grateful, for my health, my community, this country that I now call home and all of you. Social distancing or not, I appreciate and love you all from the core of my heart. May we all see each other through this and cross paths out there soon! <3
Socially distancing-ly yours, Anushay. ☺
