Marouane Rahali has joined Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel as chef de cuisine for its signature Italian restaurant, La Veranda.

Before joining Sheraton Grand Doha, Chef Marouane has worked in several destinations, including Italy, England, Brussels, and Oman. With previous experience in a Michelin star restaurant, his cuisine is a fusion of his roots and the exotic flavors from the lands he has lived in, resulting in an authentic and delicious blend of simplicity and creativity on a plate.

Holding several degrees, Chef Marouane studied `Gastronomy` at the Umea University School of Restaurant and Culinary Art, Sweden, and `Hotel & Restaurant Management at the Institute of Maggia, Italy, and had several pieces of training in international cuisines.

Chef Marouane was born and raised in Casorate Sempione, Italy, where his energetic passion and creative mindset for food were planted. Chef Marouane said, “I want my guests to experience real Italian food in my restaurant and very excited to share my interpretation of Italian cuisine with our La Veranda guests.” Chef Marouane uses strictly selected top-grade seasonal ingredients for each dish to enhance the original flavors and enjoyment of top-notch Italian cuisine.

With his appointment comes a change in the La Veranda menu starting from 15^th June 2021. Chef Marouane’s philosophy is to create food with strict authentic recipes and he Loves to evolve his skills by using indigenous fresh produce.

Chef has a gifted knack of doing things differently for instance his tiramisu at La Veranda is a must have as its uniquely done in a de-constructed fashion which would give a roller coaster of flavors in your taste buds with all the different elements and textures involved in the dish.

La Veranda welcomes its guests for lunch from 12pm to 3pm and for dinner from 7pm to 11:30pm. On Fridays, popular brunch serves from 12:30 until 4pm.

Located in the heart of the city, Sheraton Grand Doha offers guests access to dining experiences at eight restaurants, bars, and lounges. To name a few- local Qatar flavors at Al Hubara restaurant, authentic Italian at La Veranda, Jewelry of India Jamavar, inspired Lebanese flavors at the famous Em Sherif restaurant and Nusr-Et Steakhouse or Irish Harp Bar.
