Scale7, the first fashion and design business incubator in Qatar- founded by Qatar Development Bank (QDB) in partnership with M7 – has successfully conducted a 4-day intensive Abaya Bootcamp. The program was hosted between September 25 to 29, 2022, which was targeted for designers having businesses at their nascent stages.

The 4-day intensive course, comprising a total of 15 participants, covered the topics encompassing starting an Abaya business, Design Fundamentals; Fabrics & Textiles & Tailoring Techniques; Branding and Marketing, etc. To empower these talented startups, Business to Business talk was also organized alongside the event for the participants to gain first-hand experience from the experts.

On the successful hosting of the bootcamp, Ms. Aysha Khalifa Al Romaihi, Project Manager of Scale7, said, “Since its inception, Scale7 has been scaling newer paradigms of growth and innovation for the talented Qatari entrepreneurs. The Abaya bootcamp is one of the activities carried out by the Scale7 to enhance the role of creative entrepreneurs and aspiring Qatari designers in creating and producing Qatari brands in the field of fashion and design.
