Founded by renowned South African chefs Craig Cormack and Beau du Toit, with Chef de Cuisine Calum Anderson, The Salt Road Doha is the first of its kind to open outside South Africa and celebrates salt as a vital ingredient in food preservation and flavour enhancement.
The concept draws inspiration from the global salt trade, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Sahara, transforming this ancient mineral into the hero of its menu, which encourages diners to take a journey with curated dishes that reflect diverse culinary traditions. Each plate is crafted to honour the historical significance of salt in shaping cultures and cuisines worldwide.
