A dazzling new tradition arrives in Doha as Al Bidda Park transforms into a glowing wonderland for the Lantern Festival.

As November drew to a close and the city slipped into its festive season, Al Bidda Park gained a new reason for everyone to stop by: the Lantern Festival, a stunning celebration running until March 28, 2026.

Already a favourite spot for joggers, families and weekend loungers, the park is now shining brighter than ever with a nighttime experience crafted to delight all ages and bring an extra touch of warmth to Doha’s cooler season.

Behind the magic is Safe Flight Solutions, the team known for delivering some of Qatar’s most crowd-pleasing outdoor events, from Qatar Balloon Festival to Visit Qatar Kite Festival, and Lusail Sky Festival. Created in collaboration with artistic partners from Haitian culture, the festival celebrates centuries of craftsmanship, imagination and storytelling. Visitors can wander through hand-crafted illuminated sculptures shaped like animals, plants and cultural icons spread across themed zones, before heading to the Family Fun Zone for inflatables, arcade games and playful activities.

Food lovers will find plenty to savour at the international food court, while those seeking something special can book the Above the Clouds Lounge, an elegant dining concept inspired by hot-air ballooning. ✤
