Some great new sounds for you to check out this month.
IT GOES ON
By Westside Cowboy

The debut album from Manchester-based indie rockers Westside Cowboy, look out for limited-edition colour vinyl releases, as well as the standard streaming options. The first single Kick Stones, released in May, is a jingly, jangly indie folky bopper with a great video featuring local footie fans. The second, Pin Up Boys, is a bit more high-energy and kinda Brit Pop. A promising start. We’re looking forward to the full album.
GIANTS & MONSTERS
By Helloween

These guys have been making power metal together, in various forms, since 1984, so it’s reasonable to assume they know what they’re doing, and this 17th studio album bears witness to that. The opening number Giants On The Run has been described as both a giant and a monster, in a good sense. And, across the album, you can expect the triple vocal threat of Michael Kiske, Andi Deris and Kai Hansen. Fans of ‘80s power rock are in for a treat.
SUNSHINE
By Jungle

The latest offering from Jungle features the kind of gently upbeat, summery sounds we’ve become accustomed to from the British electronic duo. Early releases Carry On, The Wave and Someday, Somewhere feature effortless grooves, and the whole album has a slightly funkier vibe with retro soul and Brazilian influences. Get ready to dance.
