Mitsubishi Motors Middle East & Africa (MMMEA) has introduced the range-topping Athlete variant of the sixth-generation Mitsubishi L200.

At the heart of the all-new Mitsubishi L200 Athlete lies a potent 2.4-litre turbo diesel engine, delivering 203hp and 470Nm of torque. The most powerful engine option is paired with a smooth-shifting six-speed automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels.

With its exceptional ground clearance, versatile drive modes and Active Yaw Control (AYC), the flagship L200 Athlete is designed to offer a wide range of driving experiences.

The exterior embraces the Japanese brand’s ‘Beast Mode’ design concept with the muscular front fascia, body-coloured grille with dark finishes, pronounced wheel arches and 18-inch alloy wheels, creating a bold yet stylish look.

The interior is both functional and refined, adorned with high-quality materials and unique styling elements. The modern cabin features dual-coloured leather seats with honeycomb quilting and orange stitching, adding a touch of sportiness to the cockpit.

On the dashboard, a nine-inch infotainment display is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and there’s a seven-inch multi-information display between the analogue instruments.

Other key interior highlights include dual-zone climate control with dedicated air conditioning rear vents, wireless smartphone charging, ISOFIX anchors and a premium six-speaker sound system, all of which ensure a connected and entertained ride.

Driver-focussed technologies include seven airbags, Hill Descent Control (HDC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind-Spot Warning (BSW), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and an Active Stability & Traction Control (ASTC) system. ✤
