Mondrian Doha Spreads the Magic of the Festive Season with Fairy Tale Celebrations and Enchanting Offers

Mondrian Doha, managed by leading international lifestyle hospitality group, sbe, is pleased to announce a host of exciting events and offers to mark the end of year festive season, set to run between the 24th and 31st of December.

Mondrian Doha will transform to a glamorous winter wonderland making it the ideal choice for residents wishing to immerse themselves in the Festive Season. Doha residents will enjoy a myriad of festive celebrations across the hotel, and relish in special festive meals and takeaway service across all F&B outlets.

After a long-awaited reopening on November 1st, Mondrian Doha’s CUT will spread the festive spirit with special Christmas and New Year’s celebrations. CUT will kick-off the festivities with a special Christmas Eve Dinner, hosted between 6pm-11pm starting at QAR 350 per person. Furthermore, CUT will host a spectacular Christmas brunch on December 25th between 12.30pm-3.30pm starting at QAR 350 per person. Enhanced beverages packages are also available for guests.

For New Year’s Eve, CUT will invite Qatar residents to pay tribute to James Bond’s and Sean Connery’s impeccable style at the exclusive ‘Shaken not Stirred’ event. Elegantly dressed – tuxedos for men and gowns for women – CUT’s guests will be able to enjoy a festive and chic atmosphere, as well as a delicious culinary experience carefully crafted by Executive Chef Justin Yu, for QAR495 per person.

The first eponymous Morimoto in the Middle East and Qatar’s much-loved award-winning Japanese restaurant in Doha will bring the Japanese Shogatsu traditions to life to celebrate the New Year from 6pm to midnight. Welcoming guests with a traditional Japanese Christmas tree displayed at the entrance, Morimoto will offer a special five-course menu including a soup, appetisers to share, sushi combo, a selection of main courses and desserts for QAR585 per person. Morimoto Sushi chefs will also themselves participate in the celebrations with their outstanding kimonos throughout the evening.

To welcome 2021 with fun and creativity, Morimoto will host a Japanese calligrapher famous for the traditional Shuji technique. The master of the ancient Japanese art will paint throughout the evening, and guests will have the opportunity to have their names personally hand-painted, Shuji style. A special Japanese masks painting workshop will be hosted on-site as well.  For Christmas, Morimoto will offer its regular à la carte menu and showcase special decorations.

Hudson Tavern, Mondrian’s Doha urban escape for craft burgers and cold brews, will feature a special Christmas brunch between 12.30-3.30pm starting from QAR 295 per person, in addition to a themed New Year’s celebration. To join the ‘Decades party’, guests are invited to adopt different decades’ styles – from the 50s to the 80’s and beyond. Guests will bid farewell to 2020 from 11.30pm till midnight and enjoy Hudson’s delicious à la carte menu.

Having successfully relaunched its stunning terrace in October for the new ‘Sunset Hours’, the Qatari hospitality destination serving Middle Eastern cuisine, Walima, will host New Year’s Eve at its gorgeous terrace. Guests are invited to relish in a special Barbecue Under the Stars: starting from 9 pm until midnight, with unlimited food and drinks, including a Live Grill experience and an Appetisers Station starting from QAR299 per person.

Mondrian Doha’s heavenly desserts oasis, EllaMia will continue its customised cakes offering for those looking to sweeten their end-of-year celebrations. Mondrian’s iconic bakery offers an opportunity to order a tailor-made cake, with fillings, shells, design, and décor chosen from a large variety created by EllaMia’s pastry chef Laurent Grolleau.

2020 also brought Mondrian an opportunity to make a positive impact on Qatar’s community. The hotel supported Doha’s frontline health workers by preparing and delivering fresh Iftar and Suhoor meals to those working during the pandemic ensuring the health and safety of Qatar residents.

In line with the government guidelines, all Mondrian outlets will follow Qatar Clean safety, hygiene, and social distancing measures during the celebrations, including Ehteraz App and temperature checks at the entrance to the hotel for all guests, and mandatory face masks when entering or leaving the restaurant. Contactless menus and contactless payment options will be available, and the tables will be spaced to ensure the respect of social distancing requirements. Groups of more than six people, except for families, will be seated at separate tables. All the tables will be regularly sanitised with electrostatic sprayers. Portable hand sanitisers will also be available on all tables.
