One to bookmark for autumn: internationally acclaimed artist collective Marshmallow Laser Feast (MLF) will stage its first-ever exhibition in the country this October at Northwestern University in Qatar’s Media Majlis Museum.

If you’re already looking beyond the summer calendar, here’s an exhibition worth keeping on your radar. Opening on October 5 at the Media Majlis Museum at Northwestern University in Qatar, All That Is Unseen marks the first exhibition in Qatar, and the wider Middle East, by London-based artist collective MLF.

Known for creating immersive installations at the intersection of art, science and technology, the collective uses sensory experiences to explore the hidden systems that connect humans with the natural world. Rather than presenting nature as something to simply observe, their work invites visitors to step inside hidden worlds, revealing the invisible systems that connect people with each other and the natural environment. Originally developed by ACMI, Australia’s national museum of screen culture, and already shown in Melbourne and at New Zealand’s national museum, the exhibition arrives in Doha with a version specially adapted for the Media Majlis Museum. Visitors will journey from microscopic cells to distant galaxies through large-scale video installations, interactive experiences and guided meditation, exploring everything from the human body to the wider universe.

The exhibition also brings together collaborations with an impressive line-up of artists, filmmakers and musicians, including filmmaker Terrence Malick, the late producer Edward R. Pressman, Cate Blanchett, Daisy Lafarge, Jon Hopkins, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Meredith Monk, Howard Skempton and Jonny Greenwood. Running until January 21, 2027; admission is free, with further details on public programmes expected closer to the opening. ✤
