Hilton Salwa Beach Resort Partners with Ministry of Municipality and Environment on Planting a Million Trees Initiative

In compliance with the international commitments made by the State of Qatar during the Paris Agreement to reduce carbon emissions, and in view of the special importance of trees in the ecosystem, Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas has collaborated with the Ministry of Municipality in its 1 Million Trees Initiative to support the cause.

The resort received 500 trees from the Ministry of Municipality and Environment to contribute seedlings towards the initiative, by allowing guests pick trees to replant within their respective communities.

Team members from the resort also joined the cause towards a sustainable future by planting some of the trees across the resort.

According to Etienne Charles Gailliez, Country General Manager Qatar and General Manager, Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas; “Sustainability is a very important part of what we do because we recognise our critical responsibility to protect our planet for the generations to come. Receiving these trees from the Ministry of Municipality is a testament of this commitment. We are confident that this collaboration will pave the way for a more sustainable future for us all”.
