First Taste of F1 Fever

Are you heading to Bahrain for the region’s first Formula 1 race of the season? Then, here’s what you can expect.
As well as all the high-speed, on-track action, Bahrain’s Formula 1 weekend is as much about the fabulous entertainment in store outside of the racing.
One of the biggest announcements for this year’s event is the arrival of global dance music superstar, Peggy Gou.
The DJ, singer-songwriter, producer and cultural icon will be performing live on Saturday night, April 12, at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), adding an electrifying close to the penultimate day of the race weekend.
All Grand Prix weekend ticket holders can enjoy the concert at no extra cost, allowing thousands of fans to witness her signature sound.

Beyond the main stage, entertainment at BIC will be spread throughout the venue, with a diverse range of roaming performers keeping the atmosphere lively between racing sessions. Stilt walkers, acrobats, jugglers and live musicians will move around the circuit, engaging with crowds.
The Living Garden stilt walkers and entertainers, with their elaborate costumes and graceful movements, are set to be a striking visual attraction. Acrobatic group Circolation will weave through the crowds, showcasing their skill and agility with live performances throughout the day. Fans can also expect to be entertained by the Girlesque Band, a dynamic instrumental ensemble with a diverse repertoire, from jazz to pop, classical and contemporary music.
Adding a touch of humour and theatricality, Jordi the Mime Clown will entertain audiences of all ages. Meanwhile, Hop Hop, an acrobatic juggler, will showcase his unique mix of juggling mastery and gravity-defying acrobatics that are bound to draw a crowd.
Circus Extreme, a global act renowned for blending a traditional circus experience with a contemporary twist, will also be part of the entertainment lineup. Its team of acrobats are experts in daring disciplines including parkour, tightrope, pole, BMX, unicycle and more, with carefully selected music complementing their performances.

The popular Ferris Wheel, a favourite with visitors, returns once again and, for younger fans, the Kids’ Race Festival will feature popular characters, such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Snoopy and Popeye. The weekend will also offer plenty of other interactive entertainment for racegoers, including Professor Bubbles, Pop the Balloon Man, Colourful Puppets, Acaia Flag Wavers, Kalimba Batucada and the Dapper Chaps. For fans looking to take home a piece of the F1 experience while contributing to a meaningful cause, BIC has teamed up with Mazad for a special online charity auction. Running until April 13, the auction offers fans the chance to bid on rare motorsport and darts memorabilia, with all proceeds going to the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, which conducts humanitarian projects both in Bahrain and abroad.
Those interested can access the auction and place their online bids on mazad.app under the BIC Memorabilia category. ✤
