Mark your calendars for an exciting line-up of events that will take place in the lead-up to and during the much-awaited FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Qatar is organising a range of cultural and entertainment options for the whole family in the countdown to and during this year’s FIFA World Cup, which will take place from November 20 to December 18. The countrywide festival will include more than 90 special events on the side-lines of the tournament.

The centrepiece entertainment offering will be the Corniche, which will have a carnival atmosphere along its 6km route and feature performances, cultural activities, food and beverage stalls and retail outlets. Fans who attend matches will experience a host of entertainment in the vicinity of all eight stadiums. The Last-Mile cultural activation will feature more than 6,000 performances in 21 locations. Special highlights will include visual arts, crafts and heritage, fashion and design, performance art, music and film screenings.

Away from the stadiums, the FIFA Fan Festival at Al Bidda Park will show every match live and feature stage performances, food and beverage outlets, cultural activities and sponsor activations. Additionally, fan zones will be hosted in the Industrial Area and Al Khor. Fans will also be able to enjoy theme park rides and other attractions at Al Maha Island Lusail, including ice skating and circus performances. Further, Al Maha Island Lusail will host a range of concerts and performances for people of all ages. There will be a beach club and a range of food and beverage options as well.

Music fans can enjoy Arcadia Spectacular dance music festival, which will be held near Ras Bu Fontas metro station. Another music event, hosted by MDLBEAST, will take place in Al Wakrah. 974 Beach Club will offer music, activities, food and beverage options and retail stalls. Lusail Boulevard will stage street performances. A variety of cultural and entertainment activities will be available for fans across key tourist destinations in the country, including museums, Souq Waqif, Katara Cultural Village and Msheireb Downtown Doha.

Qatar organises events all year round to make your visit memorable. This month, you can enjoy public art and exhibitions at various locations including Corniche, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, Al Masrah Park, West Bay North Beach and others. ✤
