With a fresh look, modern technology and a more powerful engine, say hello to the latest Mitsubishi ASX.

The model adopts the brand’s latest Dynamic Shield front design language with LED headlights and taillights and Mitsubishi also designed a fresh rear skid plate finished in silver to make the ASX seem a bit more rugged. A similar change has been made at the front bumper to complete the look. Out back, LED taillights work with conventional turn indicators in the reconfigured tail lamps.

The 2.0-litre engine gives maximum torque of 197Nm at 4,200rpm promising all the power necessary for any trip and MIVEC technology allows the engine to combine maximum power output, fuel efficiency and environmental performance.

On the road, drivers can choose between three modes to match driving style and road conditions with outstanding 4WD performance. The engine is teamed with the INVECS-III (Intelligent & Innovative Vehicle Electronic Control System) CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), ideally tuned to deliver effortless acceleration.

The Mitsubishi ASX is equipped with plenty of features that enhance safety, including Blind Spot Warning (BSW) and Lane Change Assist (LCA), which uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to detect vehicles in rear blind spots on both right and left sides, as well as Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Hill Start Assist and an Emergency Stop Signal System.

The available seven-airbag system helps protect every passenger in every seat.

The versatile cargo area is spacious and easy to use for any driver, with up to 358 litres of cargo space available even with five occupants on board. There is also a full-flat rear seat option and 60:40 split foldable seatback.

And all passengers can enjoy the view from every direction with the panoramic glass roof. At night, the roof is attractively illuminated with LED lamps. Rugged yet sporty, the roof rails accentuate the flowing roof lines of the ASX.

The model is equipped with state-of-the-art technology features, including an eight-inch display monitor that makes navigation and rear-view camera easier to use with the larger touchscreen.

Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) helps drivers operate map settings, music playback and calls, all with voice actions for a more enjoyable and safer drive.

Interaction doesn’t stop here. The ASX presents Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems allowing you to use a number of audio, messaging, voice calling and third-party navigation apps from your iPhone.

Occupants can enjoy great sound quality from an audio system jointly developed with the Rockford Corporation, thanks to nine speakers with spectacular DTS Neural Surround sound. And with Bluetooth, Hands-Free Kit and Link System you can keep in touch while staying safely in control as the voice-activated dialler lets you make calls while holding the wheel.
