The Qatar International Art Festival (QIAF) returns to Katara this month with six days of exhibitions, performances, workshops and global artistic exchange.

As Doha gears up for a packed December, Katara Cultural Village is about to become your go-to stop for creativity as the seventh edition of QIAF takes over from December 7 to 12. If you’re looking for colour, ideas and a crowd of international talent, this is where it all comes together.

Over the years, QIAF has evolved into a global meeting point for painters, sculptors, designers, performers and creative thinkers from more than 65 countries. The festival champions cross-cultural exchange, environmental responsibility and the intersection of art, science and innovation.

This year’s programme is especially rich, giving you plenty to explore. Expect a Painting & Sculpture Exhibition and live painting sessions running all week, plus hands-on creative workshops on December 8 and 11 if you’re keen to dive in yourself. Katara will also host a Cultural Musical Evening (December 8), an Art Conference and Panel Talk Show (December 9), and a Networking Dinner gathering international artists (December 10).

On December 11, fashion enters the spotlight with both a Sustainable Fashion Show and an Artistic Fashion Show, while collectors will have their eyes on the QIAF Art Auction on December 10. Add to that Katara cultural tours, masterclasses and a Desert Safari finale before the Awards & Felicitation Ceremony on December 12, and you’ve got a full week of art, ideas and global talent ready to energise Katara from morning to night. ✤
