Coffee, Brunch and Community

AMS visited Harvest Coffee to discover a warm atmosphere coupled with a high-quality dining experience.
Some cafés don’t just serve food – they create an experience that stays with you. Harvest Coffee, right by the sea at The Pearl, is one of those places. With a focus on fresh and healthy ingredients, it strikes the perfect balance between taste and nutrition. We visited on a sunny Friday morning, with golden light reflecting off the water. It was the perfect setting to explore a menu full of colour and energy. The café was lively with families enjoying breakfast together and people stopping by after their morning walks, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
First Impressions
As we approached, we were met with an appealing space. Large green-framed windows opened wide to let in the fresh air, and the outdoor seating area looked too good to pass up. With a view of the water and a light sea breeze, it felt like the perfect spot to relax.
Inside, the café was warm and stylish without trying too hard. Wooden tables, soft lighting and plenty of greenery made it feel calm and welcoming. There was a lively hum of conversation as people enjoyed their meals, while the baristas worked smoothly behind the counter, crafting coffees and smoothies with precision. It was tempting to sit indoors, but with the fresh sea air outside, we couldn’t resist taking a table on the terrace.

A Menu Full Of Goodness
Harvest Coffee’s menu is built on high-quality ingredients, with a clear focus on healthy eating. We chose a mix of dishes to get a full experience.
The Labneh Avocado Toast With Eggs was a great start. Creamy smashed avocado and tangy labneh sat atop crisp sourdough, with perfectly poached eggs ready to spill golden yolk. A drizzle of homemade pesto and a sprinkle of parmesan added richness, while semi-dried tomatoes gave bursts of sweetness. A hint of turmeric and paprika rounded out the flavours. Although my daughter usually isn’t a fan of labneh, this dish was the standout for her, winning her over with its creamy texture and delightful flavours.

The Chicken Pesto Sandwich was just as impressive. The toasted sourdough had a light crunch, giving way to tender shredded chicken coated in homemade pesto. Emmental cheese melted into the mix, with fresh rocket and a hit of jalapeño for an extra kick. Every bite was packed with flavour and texture.
The Quinoa and Kale Salad was the highlight for the whole family. A mix of quinoa, kale and butternut squash made up the base, with pomegranate seeds, apple and celery adding bursts of freshness. Pumpkin seeds and pecans brought crunch, while a light French dressing tied everything together. It was filling but light, exactly what you want from a healthy salad.
For something comforting, we tried the Simply PB Oatmeal. The gluten-free oats were creamy and rich, mixed with homemade peanut butter and organic coconut milk. Topped with blueberries and cashews, it had just the right amount of sweetness from organic maple syrup. What stood out was the quality of fruit used in every dish. It was truly exceptional, with each variety bursting with freshness and flavour, elevating every plate to a new level of deliciousness.
We also grabbed a Matcha Protein Energy Ball, which was a great little snack. Made with matcha, protein powder, almond butter and coconut, it had a chewy texture and a natural sweetness that made it satisfying without feeling heavy.

The Protein Shake menu at Harvest is a testament to the commitment to both flavour and nutrition. Standout offerings include the Matcha Plus, a vibrant blend of coconut milk, matcha, banana and organic maple syrup, available with either whey or vegan protein. For those seeking a balanced option, the aptly named Balance Shake combines unsweetened almond milk with a medley of berries and homemade peanut butter. The crown jewel, however, is the Flex Shake – a powerhouse of nutrients featuring unsweetened oat milk, a quartet of berries, homemade peanut butter and banana. Each smoothie can be customised with whey or vegan protein, catering to various dietary preferences. The attention to detail in providing nutritional information for both protein options demonstrates the café’s dedication to transparency and customer satisfaction.
It’s worth noting that the 𝗉𝗋𝗈𝗍𝖾𝗂𝗇 𝗌𝗁𝖺𝗄𝖾𝗌, 𝖺𝗅𝗈𝗇𝗀 𝗐𝗂𝗍𝗁 𝖺 selection 𝗁𝗂𝗀𝗁-𝗉𝗋𝗈𝗍𝖾𝗂𝗇 𝖿𝗈𝗈𝖽 𝗈𝗉𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇𝗌, 𝖺𝗋𝖾 𝗉𝖺𝗋𝗍 𝗈𝖿 𝖳𝗁𝖾 𝖠𝗍𝗁𝗅𝖾𝗍𝖾 𝖶𝖺𝗒 𝗆𝖾𝗇𝗎. Designed for those who prioritise health, energy and recovery, The Athlete Way menu at Harvest is a carefully crafted selection of high-protein meals, nourishing shakes and balanced snacks. Each item is thoughtfully prepared to support an active lifestyle, with detailed nutritional information available for every serving.
A Place To Unwind
As we sat outside, enjoying the food and drinks, we took in the surroundings. The café had an easy-going, relaxed feel – lively but not loud, stylish but not overdone. The yachts in the background and a gentle sea breeze made it a great spot to take your time and enjoy the moment. I honestly couldn’t think of a better place to start the weekend.
The service was friendly and efficient. The staff knew the menu well and had a clear passion for what they served. They were happy to offer recommendations but never lingered too long, making it feel natural and comfortable.

We were also interested to learn about Harvest’s contributions to the communities in which it operates both as a home away from home space to visitors and through social initiatives. These include an Annual Mental Health Awareness campaign; organised activities for National Sports Day in collaboration with Ehsan elderly centre; offering free meals for surrounding workers on Qatar National Day; an ever-present donation box on the premises and many others.
Final Thoughts
Harvest Coffee is a master at making healthy eating enjoyable. The food is fresh, full of flavour and thoughtfully prepared, proving that nutritious meals don’t have to be boring. Our three teenagers loved the healthy options too, showing that this spot appeals to families just as much as health enthusiasts.
Whether you’re looking for one of the best brunch spots in Doha or a cosy café to enjoy speciality coffee, Harvest Coffee is the go-to destination for a diverse community of food lovers, families and health-conscious diners.
With a menu that makes the most of wholesome ingredients, a setting that embraces its beautiful surroundings and an atmosphere that invites you to linger, this is somewhere we’ll definitely be returning to. Next time, we might just stay a little longer and catch the sunset.
As well as The Pearl, Harvest Coffee has branches at West Walk, Education City and Qatar Finance and Business Academy, where you’ll find the same high-quality, healthy food and a great atmosphere.
