Centara West Bay appoints new executive chef

With over 15 years of hospitality and culinary proficiency, chef Ravi’s passion has earlier worked in Fiji Islands, the UAE, and India.


Centara West Bay Hotel & Residences Doha has announced the appointment of Karthik Ravi as the new executive chef, and the launching of Dalchini’s new menu on October 25.

With over 15 years of hospitality and culinary proficiency, chef Ravi’s passion has earlier worked in Fiji Islands, the UAE, and India.

Chef Ravi brings with him a wealth of experiences specialising in the pre-openings of hotels and evolved into a culinary leader joining luxury properties including Conrad Dubai and Atlantis the Palm Dubai. He was also with the vast Westin property complex in Fiji Islands.

At Centara West Bay, Ravi takes responsibility for every aspect of restaurant operations, menu creations, banquet, and creative catering concept. Chef Ravi and his team working with Michelin-starred chef, Alfred Prasad have developed the new Dalchini menu.

“I am excited to be part of Centara West Bay Hotel & Residences Doha and my kitchen’s dynamic team. I am looking forward to introducing new dishes that will entice and delight diners”, said chef Ravi.

Long-standing favourites are still on the menu, such as the famous Dalchini signature biryani, pepper chicken, patta chaat and Spiced lamb chops. The new options include ‘Tuna bhel’ sashimi grade diced tuna marinated in lime juice served with freshly squeezed watermelon juice, ‘Dalchini Kebab Smoked Platter’ for grill and tandoor appetiser, main classics with a twist ‘Spice Crusted Salmon’, chicken tikka shredded ‘Murgh khurchan’. The a la carte menu features both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
